At SmatShopping, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. As we are an online store selling high quality products in South Africa and also sourcing high-quality products directly from trusted suppliers in China, we handle returns and refunds in line with South African consumer laws (including the Consumer Protection Act) and our business model.

Refunds

  • Full refund (purchase price + original shipping) for approved defective/damaged cases. 
  •  For change-of-mind: Refund of purchase price only (within 3 days after purchasing)
  • Different from sample: Return of 80% of the product cost within 1 workweek.
  • Partial refunds may apply for minor issues.
  • Refunds for China stock exclude customs duties, taxes, or fees (your responsibility as buyer for international orders).
  • We issue refunds via the original payment method. Store credit may be offered as an alternative with your agreement.
    Lost in China: Refunded to customer`s account within 3 workdays.
    Bad quality: Return of 30%–80% of the product cost within 1 workweek.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only accept exchanges for South African stock and do not accept returns to China addresses directly due to excessive costs—contact us for SA-friendly options.

International Shipping

Normally the shipping time in China may need 7 days. And please don’t forget to pay the international shipping fee.

Air usually takes 14 – 28 days. Sea shipping takes 30 -90 days.
South African stock shipping takes 3 to 7 days

Evidence Required: Customers must upload evidence (such as photos or unboxing videos) for every after-sale claim.
